Join local history buff Karen Buchanan on a 4.7-mile roundtrip hike
through the Marina District and the Presidio of San Francisco. Learn
about the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition that
transformed a marshy lagoon into a 635-acre, 2.5-mile "Jewel City,"
and visit the Palace of Fine Arts,
the last remaining structure of the PPIE.

Discover the legendary El Polin Spring and learn about the Founding
Mother of San Francisco, Juana Briones. We will stroll through the
Main Post and check out the various architectural styles of Funston
Avenue, the new Visitor's Center, the Presidio Officer's Club museum,
and end with optional cocktails at the Arguello Restaurant.

We'll meet at Shoes N Feet on Saturday April 22nd at 10am.
